Controller and scope
ShopRex is operated by TechRex, a sole proprietorship of Gummadi Ramesh Babu based in Pandalapaka, Andhra Pradesh, India, and is published at shoprex.in. For account-level data (your login, profile and subscription), TechRex acts as data controller. For the business records you enter into your workspace — items, stock, customers, sales, rentals and payments — you (the shop or business owner) are the data controller and TechRex acts as data processor, processing that data only to provide the service.
Account information
To use ShopRex you create an account with your name, email address and password (or a supported sign-in provider). We use this information to authenticate you, secure your workspace, communicate about your account and provide support. We do not sell account information or use it for advertising.
Your business data
Items, stock levels, customer names and contact details, sales, rentals, deposits, balances, invoices and cash-flow entries that you record in ShopRex belong to you. We store and process this data solely to operate the service for you — displaying your dashboard, generating invoices and reports, and keeping your records available and backed up. We do not access your business data for any other purpose except where required by law or with your explicit request (for example, during a support investigation you ask us to perform).
Customer personal data you enter
If you record your own customers' names, phone numbers or balances in ShopRex, you are responsible for having the right to collect and store that information and for honouring your customers' privacy rights. We process that data only as your processor and never use it for our own purposes.
Third-party services (subprocessors)
ShopRex relies on a small set of infrastructure providers for hosting, database, authentication and file storage. Each provider processes only the data required to deliver its service and is bound by its own privacy and security commitments. Payment processing, where applicable, is handled by the payment provider named at checkout; we never see or store your full card details.
Data sharing and sale
TechRex does not sell personal data. We do not share your account or business data with third parties except the subprocessors listed above, and with authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.
Retention and deletion
Your workspace data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can export your records and you can request deletion of your account and workspace data at any time by emailing [email protected]. After account deletion, residual backups are purged on a rolling schedule. Technical logs are retained on a short rolling basis for security and reliability.
Security
Access to your workspace is authenticated and isolated per account. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers, and access within TechRex is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act 2023, GDPR / UK GDPR and CCPA / CPRA), you have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. Children
ShopRex is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and above. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
